Frankenstein Nails

I know it's a little late, but I just couldn't help posting my nails from Halloween. I used a creme green polish and a black striper.

After painting your nails green, draw a zig-zag hairline.

Then fill it in.

Draw two eyes.

Then draw a slanted line.  Add dashes perpendicular to the line to create the scar mouth.

For the accent nail, I drew more of the scars.

Add a fast drying top coat and your done:)

House of Hades Nails

I am in LOVE with House of Hades and to commemorate finishing the book, I created this dark gradient that is both perfect for fall and reading Rick Riorden's newest book.

To create this look I used three polishes:
A peach-y nude
A shimmery chocolate brown
And a shimmery deep purple

I applied all of the colors in a block as tall as my nail on a makeup sponge I purchased from Sally's Beauty Supply.

I then lined up the edge of my nail with the colored block and rolled the sponge over my nail.

I did this with all of my nails.  I chose to do two coats as the polish is very thin when you sponge.

Add a top coat and your done!

The best part about the sponge gradients is that you can use any colors and you get an amazing effect.  If my word instructions aren't very clear, I learned this technique from MissJenFabulous on YouTube.  Search for her ombre nail tutorial (or something like that) You should all go check her out!
